This Christmas time, we wanted to help share some joy following what has been a very difficult year for many. We were very saddened to learn that some care home residents were not allowed to have visits from their loved ones so we decided to spread some festive cheer in our local care homes by taking part in the ‘Hearts for Homes’ project. The children at Dean Field designed some festive hearts that were delivered to the residents of our local care homes.
This was one of the quotes we received from the care homes: ‘Hello! We have received your beautiful festive heart drawings in the post! Our residents have put them up in the living room and they all say a huge thank you. What a wonderful gesture. Have a lovely Christmas and stay safe.’
The care home manager responded with: “Firstly I want to say what a lovely surprise I received when I open your letter.
The pictures the children drew were wonderful and magical, I read my residents the lovely letter then showed them the beautiful drawings, which have been put up on the walls. Will you please pass on my thanks to the children.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and thank you all again
