Prior to joining Dean Field, I spent 12 years at Beech Hill School, including five years as Assistant Headteacher.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive teaching and leadership experience across the primary age range, from Early Years through to Key Stage 2. I am passionate about high-quality teaching and learning and ensuring that every child receives the support, challenge and opportunities they need to achieve their full potential.

At Dean Field, I am the EYFS and Key Stage 1 Phase Leader, giving me responsibility for supporting teaching, learning and pupil outcomes across these important stages of children’s education. I also lead Early Reading and Phonics, alongside wider areas of curriculum leadership and school improvement. I am particularly passionate about ensuring children develop strong foundations from the very beginning of their school journey and that these are built upon as they progress through school.

As a strong and experienced school leader, I am committed to continually developing my own practice and supporting the development of others. I am currently working towards my National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), which I am due to complete in October 2026. This has further strengthened my knowledge and understanding of effective leadership, strategic development and whole-school improvement.

As a committed member of the Family of Learning Trust, I value opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues across our schools, sharing expertise and developing practice to improve outcomes for all children.

I am incredibly proud to be part of the Dean Field community and to work alongside such a dedicated team of staff, wonderful children and supportive families. I look forward to continuing to help lead our school forward and ensuring that our children receive the very best education and experiences possible.

Miss Brambani
Deputy Headteacher

Hello, my name is Miss Clay and I am the SENCO Dean Field. My teaching degree specialised in Early Years and Key Stage 1, and in 2024 I graduated my NASENCO (National Award for SEN Coordination) qualification.

This year, following the success of our first SEND hub ‘Italy Class’ last year, I am excited to be running a new targetted group each morning to give children that additional boost they need to catch up and keep up with their peers. I am really looking forward to seeing the progress they can make in a smaller group setting, where we can provide more targeted support and help them build confidence in their learning.

As SENCO, I am committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. I hold a BA in Early Years and completed my studies at Huddersfield University, on Saturdays, so I could still work full time with the children. I have worked in different childcare settings, private nurseries and committee run playgroups, but a school Nursery (especially Dean Field) is the best by far!

When I’m not at school, I am a mummy to my lovely little boy. I have worked in schools in Illingworth and Bradshaw but Dean Field has been the best by far. The amazing children, families and staff make Dean Field a brilliant place to work. I enjoy every minute of the day as there is no better feeling than knowing I have made a difference!

At Dean Field, I am on the leadership team and I am the upper school phase leader. I have a teaching and learning responsibility for the personal development of our pupils. I ensure RE, PSHE, RSE and SMSC are taught well and are fully imbedded in our curriculum. I also lead English and it’s one if my favourite subjects to teach! As a school, we are working together to achieve the Rights Respecting School Award to show that we place the rights of a child at the heart of everything we do. So, I work with our School Council to actively promote children’s rights to ensure that all of our pupils are aware of their rights.

Outside of school I enjoy going to see films (especially Disney films), taking long walks and some retail therapy!
